As Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Robert serves as an advisor in strategic planning, finance, and personnel at Superior. Robert purchased controlling interest in Superior in 1996 and has been actively involved in the company’s growth alongside his four sons: Kevin, Jason, Mike and Steve.
Prior to Robert joining Superior, he enjoyed a successful career in key leadership roles for many successful companies in the graphics and printing industry, including American Screen Printing, Avery Dennision Corporation and Modagrafics. Robert’s success can be seen in the multiple awards Superior has earned over the years, awarded by key industry associations and partners. His legacy continues to thrive in the continued growth of the company and the strong familial cultural foundation he has built through empowering the employees to always do right for the client. President and Chief Operating Officer
Kevin leads the success of Superior through his performance driven, insightful and mindful leadership. As President and Chief Operating Officer, he is responsible for overall company execution, reinforcing the company’s “client delight” based culture, and driving the strategic product and solution roadmap to continually evolve as the payments industry changes.
Kevin is a lifelong learner and curious leader who encourages companywide book readings, Gallup engagement surveys, and supporting the employee at home as much as at work. With his 25+ years at Superior, Kevin brings an unrivalled knowledge of the banking industry, products, and services. His experience enables the company to anticipate and see the changes needed to be a meaningful partner to our bank clients. Kevin relishes the many relationships, successful engagements, and fun times shared with so many commercial bankers, and the ability to enrich the lives of our employees and their families.
A dedicated financial leader with a proven track record of success, Jason leads Superior’s financial activities and accounting team, contract management, and strategic tax planning as Chief Financial Officer.
Jason has over 20 years’ experience in both finance and business development coming from a big 6 CPA firm. He shares his talents with outside organizations including serving on Wells Fargo Advisory Council, St. Mary’s Medical Center Foundation, and Chapman University Board of Counselors. Jason was honored to represent his family and organization as a finalist for the 2011 CFO of the Year award presented by the Los Angeles Business Journal.
Mike leads Superior’s IT infrastructure, applications, and security through the increasingly complex cybersecurity landscape associated with financial institutions. As Chief Information Officer, Mike is a transformational leader by utilizing emerging technologies and finding innovative ways to improve the company’s infosec strategies and risk mitigation.
With vast industry experience designing and building network systems from the ground up, Mike successfully leads the organization in all the on-site bank security audits, source code reviews, penetration tests, FFIEC scans, and third party SOC II Type 2 audits. Mike ensures strict compliance with the requirements of banking regulatory agencies such as FFIEC. He regularly attends and participates at Black Hat, RSA conference, and other info security national events.
Senior Vice President
An expert in identifying and accelerating opportunities to grow business, Steve is a sales leader who focuses on customer centric needs to drive innovative solutions in the banking industry. Steve is responsible for leading the sales efforts of all business development, managing the national sales team across all division lines of business at Superior.
Steve brings over 30 years’ experience in sales, featuring a strong background in launching new products as the company continues to evolve to professional services. Steve’s focus has always been in delivering on the promise when clients put their trust in Superior. Steve has worked with Fortune 100 companies, consulted with top financial institutions and presented in industry events hosted by Nacha Payments, FIS, Jack Henry, WesPay, RemoteDepositCapture.com, and others as an expert on treasury product delivery and product trends for commercial banking.
VP of Implementations & Remote Deposit Services
Ty orchestrates the implementation and onboarding of new client programs setting the initial impression of delight with our clients. For over 15 years, Ty has managed implementations, product development, deployment client service and operation teams for Remote Deposit Capture division for both the Check and Cash products. He skillful integrates his responsibilities over multiple cross functional teams.
Prior to Superior, Ty served in a variety of roles including treasury management, risk mitigation, loss recovery management, depository services, ACH processing, product technology, distribution operations.
April is passionate about providing the optimal customer journey by bridging the gap between customer experience strategy and the technology needed to bring it to life. As Vice President of Marketing, April is responsible for brand marketing, customer experience enablement, and leads the TAC business unit, including contact center operations and technology development.
With more than 25 years’ experience in marketing and customer experience, April has a strong background in financial services, end to end customer experiences, contact centers, digital experiences, loyalty marketing, data analytics and artificial intelligence. She has led comprehensive programs on behalf of Fortune 100 companies, as well as consulted with top financial institutions, such as Experian, JP Morgan Chase, and HSBC. April is a two-time American Business Award winner for Marketing Campaign of the Year and Brand Experience.
With over 30 years of experience working in the financial printing and distribution industry across its biggest names (our competitors), Frank has a passion for delighting our clients and ensuring all service levels are met.
Frank specializes in operational efficiencies, automation, quality control and lean manufacturing. Frank is responsible for all treasury operations including managing contracted bank call centers, pre-press, digital printing, and inventory and warehouse operations, and is an expert in the graphics and MICR check printing industry.
Vice President of Client Engagement
Ed is a strategist at heart with a mindset focused on sales planning related to growth and operational improvements. As Vice President of Client Engagement, Ed is responsible for leading large account client engagement strategies, managing the customer loyalty team, developing easier sales processes and smarter sales administration.
Ed is an entrepreneurial executive with over 30 years of success in leading and managing startup to mid-market companies. A forward-thinking, experienced executive whose multifaceted background includes expertise in driving strategy, developing business and solving operational problems. Ed has a passion for scaling businesses, while providing turnaround, integration and transformational leadership. He has worked with Fortune 100 to middle market companies.
With a strong passion for its company culture given her 20+ years of experiencing Superior’s growth, Shannon focuses on providing a positive work environment for all employees. As Director of Human Resources, Shannon is responsible for employee engagement, benefit administration, employee performance management, and recruiting our future Superior family members.
Her professional experiences include executive level management, strategic program management, training/employee development and organizational development. Shannon is known for her excellent interpersonal and communication aptitudes essential in establishing close relationships with all levels of team members within the organization.
